Braindeath island, new dungeon update secret?

Post subject:  Braindeath island, new dungeon update secret?
The reason why I'm making a thread on this is simple: Jagex has never been known to put "nothing interesting happens here" on anything. Ever. Until now.

I found this on the new dungeon map update. If you look at braindeath island, it says that. Is something "happening" there? Is it a spoiler or a hint for a new update?(remember rest...or the brassica prime?)

The other part, which I don't know if it's new or not, is that the entire area is checker-boarded off. If I'm right about the checkerboard, that means that upcoming content is in development there. Does anyone have any idea as to what's there? Or did a Jagex mod just put that in for the lulz?

I'd do it but I never completed Rum Deal. Anyone else able to go?

I don't think the checkerboard means but the "nothing happens here" looks like a spoiler for another quest.

no it's just that nothing happens on that part of the islet.

it was totally empty lil isle til Captain Braindeath found it and built his "secret" (why Pirate Pete knocks you out to take you there) brewery there. which in turn attracted all the undead pirates, who then blocked access to that stagnant water pool (the green water symbol) which hindered the Captain's brewing.


the green water symbol is for the stagnant water pool on that side of the islet used during the quest.

IDK blade are you 100%, because that looks a bit odd for it to be on the official rs map, but im not that for sure that it is a spoiler either... we'll see in the future :?:

The line "nothing happening here" was used in the quest many time as a joke. This is probably a continuation of that joke.

I don't really think so. they drive me crazy sometimes with their updates recently. it's still very interesting that they put that there though...

Well, I think it's pretty funny. Doesn't really make sense to put anything there anyway.
