Skeptical is American English, Sceptical Is British English. Unless you have some sort of reading disability or you're just speed reading at a stupid pace theres no reason you should confuse scepter and sceptical. It's not wrong and it's not being changed.
Also, please take any, frankly, wrong opinions you may have on the English language somewhere else and resume the proper course of this thread.
