Never really cared to much about it. Most the worthwhile topics posted there would have easily fit elsewhere.

It ended a useless spamming forum. Good riddance.

For the most part I'm glad its gone. It was the most popular forum and it was the least productive. There was on average about 2 people on RS Gen and RS Questions including me and all the other people were in the sandbox posting useless content. No offence to those who did. I'm just glad its gone because now the focus can be on good discussions about the game and other matters rather than every other post be a quote or some inside joke reaching 50 replies.

It's a shame it had to come to this, but they gotta do what they gotta do.

A few things after reading the previous posts:

1. Sorry but there's no need for a birthday sticky.

2. If you guys want a sticky for "funny" pictures then please, we will have to see an increase in these posts in non-rs media. We would have to know that this would get used and not be one of the novelty items like TeamSpeak.

3. As for blogs I'm not making any guarantees but we'll think about finding a place where you can post your blogs. Keep in mind though you most likely won't be able to post "UPDATED!@!!" everytime you make a new post. Your signature still works best for this, just remove everything else from your signature and make your font large if you want to highlight an entry. Take Brad's sig for an example.

Post wherever the topic would go if it was originally not posted in the sandbox. If it's a picture, non-rs media, if it's something on your mind non-rs discussion.

We tried cracking down on flaming/flame baiting for the past 6 months. It wasn't working. This was the only option besides making the forum so everyone would have to have their posts approved in there. We don't have the man power for something like that.

Almost all the things the Sandbox was used for cleared:

#1 RS General, RS Media, Non-RS Media, Non-RS Gen, and Non-RS Gaming fit a lot of the posts.
#2 For sig tests, click the preview button in the editor. Or, go to your profile- it shows it there too. Or, go to your profile, click "View all posts by this user." and select any topic and go to your post. Three simple options that work well and better.
#3 The PM system and/or RuneWire PM for things you would post and everyone would respond with a picture of the PM button or telling you to use PM.
#4 RuneWire for the more simple RS posts that aren't worthy of a whole topic.
#5 4Chan to post the motivators or lolcats or fail images, etc.
#6 MSN for the "not so instant instant messenger" topics (e-mail works good too).
#7 Snaking through rules to advertise- use your signature. This option is good because it's allowed.
#8 Your blog for updates on you.
