lets bring in a medal system

Okay, I never said anything was set in stone for how it would work. The only thing I said for sure is that there will not be a new team of people to just hand out or approve medals. You were asking me questions and I said it was possible

That's what the topic is for, suggestions on how everything about medals will work.

I do agree with Chief's interpretation that most medals that cannot be given out automatically should have to be applied for and then just approved by a mod, rather than us trying to monitor everyone to try and give them out appropriately.

The problem with that is that it's easy for most members to get 5 nominations and then we'd always have a few voting topics up so that people can be voted into a medal.

I don't control how the medals are put out. I was only putting them into an ordered list.

That was just an example it could work differently, as Mike said these are suggestions nothing is set in stone

Magnegnagan i think i love you. I thought this idea had died kaboom.

Now it LIVES. Just going to replce my original first post list with Jasons cause hes done it better.

Well i say i will i can't do that. Can a mod do that so i can add the new ones to it. Cause i CBA with readding all the BBcode. ..Hang on i can quote him and get it. NEVERMIND CHAPPYS I FIGURED IT OUT.

Must say this is actually nice. Usually these things are put together and organized behind the scenes with a selected group. And while this is a bit chaotic it's nice to see people chipping in.

Anyway I updated it all and I've added a medal goal. I think if we can hit that we have a solid starting amount that can be picked apart and narrowed down into a nice amount and then added too later if the need arises (i.e some nutter actually gets them all)

Just to update since there hasn't been anything posted for a while, rest assured this is still under our consideration (and we would love to implement it). The trouble is finding time for it.

Hang in there and if you have anything more to add then by all means keep posting.
