maybe a medal for people who contribute a lot to the forum in the way of starting and adding to topics and debates.

Perhaps I was thinking of some medal ideas

-Created a ''Popular'' Thread
-Achieved Dragon Member
-etc...(Can't think of more, too tired)

I'd suggest to open up a thread for people ideas if the system is approved.

The popular thread idea is good Maiden, maybe a medal for creating 1 thread that goes 'hot' (with the little fire rune symbol) then 5 of them then 10 etc

That might encourage the thread creator to reply every other post. Maybe if someone could judge whether he thought the 'hot' topic was feasible for the medal, then it could be awarded.

Like with post count you can see if someones just triyng to boost. It's pretty obvious most of the time (in fact theres one post in this thread doing just that  ) so it can be moderated pretty easily i think. Just make it something that can be reported and leave it to staffs instinct.

Yeah thats a fair point. I guess we could also somehow encourage more thoughtful posts with some sort of medal, and we could even broaden the spectrum on this whole "entertainer rank" joke. We could make it a reality :D

To be honest, even if someone is ''Spamming'' for post count, It still brings up the activity of the forum. Which I think is a good thing.

Yeah if it's like: 'Haha your range level is good' 'Nice bank' 'Lol you're stats are nice' then it's not really contributing positively to the forum.

Yes but to me there is two different kind of spams

The annoying one:

nice 9/10
cool 7/10
nice bank
cool
awesome
great
you suck

The good one

I personally think implementing this medal system would be a great idea, just some rewards for the old forum users and for the new ones more reasons to post.

Great idea. If it were to be implemented people would probably be more active because it gives them a goal to strive towards. Forum activity would go up. There have been days where I post 5 posts within about 20 mins and no one has posted a single post between, so for the sake of activity please implement this feature.

But there is already the fire rune if it is a popular topic however... If a way it can work out, but I think people will try to get them just because it shows something.

Yeah just like dragon member

And just like the fire rune and dragon member you really don't see mass amounts of people spamming needlessly. You get a few and they can be dealt with.

So is there any more news on if you are looking into implementing this?
