August 6, 2004 - The day RSBandB was officially launched in the wee hours of the morning. This post is going to serve to highlight some events that we will be doing starting on the 5th and moving through the weekend and into the following week. Event 1 What: Counter Strike: Source GunGame Where: RSBandB GunGame Server (209.160.21.177:27016) When: Wednesday August 5 at 7PM RSBandB Time/MDT [6PM PDT, 8PM CDT, 9PM EDT, 1AM GMT, 2AM BST] Note: This event will replace the weekly Half Life 2 Team Deathmatch for one week. Event 2 What: Halo 3 Map Making Competition When: Entries are due August 8 at 12AM RSBandB Time/MDT [11PM PDT, 1AM CDT, 2AM EDT, 6AM GMT, 7AM BST] Description: To celebrate RSBANDB's 5th birthday, we're gonna lighten up Xbox 360 owner's lives to keep the spirits high and are offering you the chance to win the competition rank, just for showing your creative side. Yes, we are giving you the chance to show off your Forging skills on Halo 3 by making the best map possible! Obviously though, there has to be a few set rules: -The map you make must be made by you. You are allowed no assistance from members on RSBANDB or outside of the community. It will be obvious to tell if you co-operate and this will just lead to disqualification. -To participate in this event you must have Xbox Live. -The map that you will be creating your masterpiece on will be Guardian. Custom maps made on anything else will not be included. Your map can be made to suit you. You can use whatever items you want at the cost of your budget. Maps will be judged on originality, creativity, playability and effort. When your map has been created add it to your file share with the map name 'RSBANDB' and message DeathByThinking on Xbox Live telling me that your map is complete and you would like to enter it. Event 3 What: Live Recording of RSBANDBUpdate! Where: RSBandB TeamSpeak Server When:Thursday August 6: 2PM RSBandB Time/MDT [1PM PDT, 3PM CDT, 4PM EDT, 8PM GMT, 9PM BST] Event 4 What: SKOTD (Skill of The Day) When: Starting August 6 12AM RSBandB Time/MDT [11PM PDT, 1AM CDT, 2AM EDT, 6AM GMT, 7AM BST], new skill each day. How to Join: Send a private message to Shwa with your Runescape name that you will be competing with. Fred will be sitting this out as he's concerned with bigger things. The Skills: Thursday August 6th - Hitpoints Friday August 7th - Woodcutting Saturday August 8th - Fishing Sunday August 9th - Defence Monday August 10th - Cooking Event 5 (See last post for more information) What: The Amazing Race When: Friday August 7 at 7PM RSBandB Time/MDT [6PM PDT, 8PM CDT, 9PM EDT, 1AM GMT, 2AM BST] Description: Come meet us the specified location and race around Gielenor! The location will be announced prior to the race. After the race we invite you to come along for a special stunt somewhere on Runescape. Outfits will be provided, the stunt will occur in a members area. Note: This event will replace Minigames Galore for one week. Event 6 What: Hide and Seek When: Saturay August 8 at 7PM RSBandB Time/MDT [6PM PDT, 8PM CDT, 9PM EDT, 1AM GMT, 2AM BST] Where: Meet at Falador Park World 154, bring Ring of Seeking (seek). Note: This event will replace Boss Takedown for one week. |

Honestly, there is no reason at all for me to not attend any of these. (except the first 1, sorry!) I've never made a Halo 3 map before.. but I'll try. I'll be at the RS events. SKOTD is a really great idea! |

HAPPY BIRTHDAY RSBANDB!!!!!!! Sorry, but I made a mistake in the name and age on this cake I baked just for you. :/  Is there a difference between CS :S and CS:SGG? because i have Source but not Source GunGame... I'll try to make all of these! Hmm... I smell something else... Or that may just be my Cake of Negative History. *cough* |

Gungame is where you start off with nothing but the starting pistol, then when you get 2 kills you get upgraded to the next gun, then the next, then the next etc. So you go through all the guns then frag grenade then ending with knife. |

Okay, first off. GGGUGUUUUUUNNGAAAAME!@!@!!!!11!@!SPACE. I will try to make it to some of the Runescape ones too. Just to see if the game is still completely bland compared to the several hours of EQ2 I've racked-up. |

Congratulations to everyone who has made this site what it is today. This is by far my favorite RuneScape fansite and will continue to be for years to come. I'll be sure to attend at least two of the events. |

A map making competition hardly sounds like an Xbox 360 event for a 5 year celebration  Regardless, I'll enter it I geuss. |
