THIS GUIDE IS FOR RSBANDB AND RSBANDB ONLY
Created by Connor and Warren Thanks to Mike for some help Intro Hunter is not thought of as a multi-task skill. Usually you have to pay attention to your traps at all times. Locations Shop/Equipment There are two hunting shops. One in Yanille and one in Nardah. To save time, I suggest buying 5 of each item so you don't need to return to the shops. Polar camo Requires 1 Hunter to wear Woodland camo Requires 1 Hunter to wear Jungle camo Requires 4 Hunter to wear Desert camo Requires 10 Hunter to wear Larupia Requires 28 Hunter to wear Graahk Requires 38 Hunter to wear Kyatt Requires 52 Hunter to wear Spotted cape Requires level 40 Hunter to wear Gloves of silence Requires level 54 Hunter to wear Spottier cape Requires level 66 Hunter to wear Tracking - 1+ Tracking is one of the easiest ways to train Hunter. The fact that it’s not the easiest makes it pointless to train for XP. The idea of this is just what the name says. You track an animal by searching different things. Rocks, logs, tunnels, all things that lead to the animal. The only items required for this type of hunting are noose wands and if you want, bring the camo for that area.
Bird catching - 1+ Bird catching is the best XP for a low level. Of course you will have to move each time you unlock a new bird to catch but it’s worth it. Set your bird snare(s) and hide! Waiting for the birds to rest on the perch will be the most boring part of this hunting but like I said, it’s worth it.
Butterfly catching - 15+
Impling hunting - 17+
Deadfall - 23+
Box trapping - 27+
Rabbit Snaring - 27+
Net trapping - 29+
Pitfall - 31+
Falconry - 43+
Imp boxes - 71+
Recommended training 1-27 I suggest doing the highest bird you can catch. Do not waste your time with butterflies. You'll find they're not worth the time you spend on them. 27-29 This is probably the easiest part of Hunter. You really should do Eagles' Peak for these two levels. It's a quick and easy quest with a fair reward. The guide can be found here 29-43 Eagles' Peak not only gives you two Hunter levels. It also unlocks two new Hunter animals which are rabbits and ferrets. Ferrets are caught by box trap and can be used to flush rabbits from their holes. This is probably the fastest XP you will get going from 29-43. 43-47 Now that you're flying through Hunter. You unlock the skill to use a falcon for hunting. Head over to the Falconry area with 500 gp. Grab your bird and go to town catching those Spotted kebbits. 47-59 These next levels will probably be the worst. Head to Shantay Pass with 4 waterskins, a knife, the most traps you can set, and if you want, bring your graahk armour for camo. You will be catching orange salamanders. 59-70 This is the most hated and probably makes most people quit Hunter. You will probably want to buy 100 nets if you don't like to pay attention. I didn't wear any camo while hunting here. This will be red salamanders. The best spot is the spot uphill in view of the ZMI altar entrance. 70-99 This is your final animal and the most relaxing. You will need 5 box traps. I suggest setting in a square while you can only set 4 and when you can set 5 just put the last one in the middle of the square. A side suggestion is to bring mithril seeds to deal with the few that try to kick you out. The Hunter cape Money making with Hunter Yes, there are ways to make money with Hunter. The only real way is hunting chinchompas. Both normal and red sell but the red sell faster and for a higher price. I wouldn’t suggest trying to make money with Hunter until level 60 for normal chinchompas and 70 for reds. The other way is when you become a high level hunter, you can catch “rare” implings. These implings are usually Dragon and Ninja. Dragon implings drop items with a wealth value of about 10k-1.2M+. Eagle Transportation *note: you can use one rope as many times as you want. When you finish Eagles' Peak you will be able to ride an eagle to 3 Hunter areas. To ride to Nardah you must move a large boulder in the desert.(Requires 45+ Strength) To ride to Feldip you must help a small vine grow up to the eyrie's entrance. The vine can be supported by a teasing stick. To ride to Rellekka you must use some icy handholds. You will need at least 35 Agility to do this. Impetuous Impulses Of course this is a whole different subject but since it relates to Hunter, I’ll touch on it. This is a Hunter based mini-game that takes place in all of RuneScape but is centered on Puro-Puro. Puro-Puro is a box area filled with magic wheat that moves and of course, implings. These implings can be caught for Hunter XP, money, or for pure fun. |

I also posted the mini-game where the main source of imps are... |

Nice guide, really helpful. I wasn't sure whether to go to red chins at 70 or 80, but after reading this I'll probably go at 70. What sort of hourly xp can you get there? |

Net trapping - 29+ Animal Level Required XP Gained Bait Location Extra Swamp lizard 29 152 Guam tar Swamp Lizard Area in Morytania Swamp lizards can be used as a weapon Orange salamander 47 224 Marrentill tar Uzer (Desert) Orange salamanders can be used as a weapon Red salamanders 59 272 Tarromin tar South-west of Ardougne Red salamanders can be used as a weapon Black salamander 67 304 Harralander tar Trollweiss Black salamanders can be used as a weapon I heard like 90k exp per hour, but thats probally like at 80. And Connor, your partly right. I see imps "worldwide", but in some places I tend to see the same type of imps quite frequently. For example, don't dragon imps hang out near seers village? Also, I had a hard time finding out exactly what you need for net trapping. you couyld have put a little more ffort into this. |

Right, if something is "wrong" with this guide please pm it to me. I'd rather not have to read all these posts. If you have a question for another member, please pm them. I don't want spam on my guide |

The guide is good for me! What do you think I should train on at 64 hunter? Also, you could write a little strategy on what animals you should hunt starting at which levels. |
