Post subject:  Making History

I'm doing it as I write this guide. It's that fresh.

Stat Requirements:

-None, but the quest is easier with level 20 crafting, 7 magic, and 40 smithing.

Items Needed:

-Sapphire Amulet (Unenchanted)
-Spade
-Ghostspeak Amulet
-Energy Potions are optional, because you got a lot of running to do.

Teleports I used:

-1 Camelot Teleport
-2 Ardougne Teleports
-1 Ectophial
-1 Ring of Dueling

Difficulty:

-Easy

Quest length:

-Medium

Start Point:

-Talk to Jorral outside the northwest end of West Ardougne. Walk around the outside to find it.

You start the quest by going to this outpost:

And talking to Jorral. After a simple cutscene:

Image

He'll ask you to talk to 3 people to learn historical facts about the tower so King Lathas won't knock it down.

Image

You have to go to:

Rellekka
Port Phasmatys
East Ardougne

I started with Port Phasmatys.

Talk to Droalak. He's in front of the general store:

Image

He'll ask you to do him a favour and get his wife to forgive his leaving her for the outpost by giving her a sapphire amulet. Unenchanted, preferably. Get your amulet and go to the nearby house and talk to Melina:

EXTRA SPRITE NAME GLITCH:

Anyways, you'll give her the amulet and she'll pass on to the next world (Boo hoo, she took the amulet). Talk to Droalak again and get your first piece of history (scroll). He won't pass on, so if you lose the scroll, you can get another from him.

I did Rellekka next.

I talked to Blanin. He's right beside the farm.

Image

He will give you information about his brother, which might be hard to remember. Here's the answers.

Image

Talk to Dron, who is just east of the fishing dock and south of the rock crabs.

Image

He'll ask you about EVERYTHING, including a skill testing question (5+7). After all that (whew), he'll give you some information.

2 down, 1 to go.

Teleport to Ardougne and talk to the silver merchant.

Image

The enchanted key that you will recieve from him will lead you just south of the observatory by the classic hot and cold method. The closer you get, the warmer it gets. You can walk there, or you can teleport to the Castle Wars arena, leave the building, and go north across the bridge. It's directly south of the actual observatory telescope.

Image

Dig with a spade. You'll get a journal.

Image

You're all set. Head back to the outpost.

Talk to Jorral again.

After listening to a summed-up past, you'll recieve a letter you must give to King Lathas.

Image

King Lathas will then give you a letter for Jorral. ...yeah. Go back to the outpost.

Talk to Jorral. He'll make a few changes to the building:

Image

And you're done!

Image

You can use that key to find treasure all over Runescape by the classic hot and cold method i explained earlier on. Try it!

Upon hunting, you'll start finding Mjolnirs that represent gods. They look like staffs with silver symbols on it.

After you get all 3 mjolnirs, your key will disintegrate so you can no longer collect treasure. Sorry.

I still haven't figured out the prayer part of the update, but I'm on it.

I'm also working on treasure spots.

I dunno if its necessary, but when you're finished with Droazal's scroll, if you go back, he passes on too.

You can get a spare enchanted key if you have a keyring from 'one small favor.' I have yet to see if it works after the other one has melted.

Nice guide though. And that glitch is awesome.
