A Fairy Tale Part I - Growing Pains

Why are all the crops failing? Can you help the Group of Advanced Gardeners to save their precious farming patches? Does having green fingers help when faced with a 6 foot tall gorse bush with a nasty temper? Do you suffer from Growing Pains?

Length: medium

Starting point: Draynor, talk to Martin

Requirements: Must have completed Lost City, Nature Spirit. Must be able to defeat a lvl 111 monster, high farming lvl helps.

Items needed: Dramen Staff, Spade, Secateurs, three random objects, Ghostspeak Amulet. high recommended Full Glory Ammy and teleport runes save A LOT of time.

Reward: 2 Quest points, 3500 Farming EXP, 2000 Attack EXP, 1000 Magic exp and a pair of Magic Secateurs.


1. talk to Martin the farmer in Draynor's Market around the pig pen.

2. he needs you to try and figure out why crops are not giving as they should. He wants you to talk to other gardenders and figure out if there is a way to fix it. Talk to all of the gardeners with alloment and the hop gardender at Yanille. He believes that faries are involved.

3. Head back to martin and tell him about the situation. Grab a Dramen staff and head to Zanaris and go to the fairy queen's lair. You will notice that she is missing so talk to the fairy godfather he'll tell a story about her fighting a monster called a Tanglefoot, she got injuried and is now in a deep sleep .

4.Then go talk to Nuff near the bank. She will give you a slip of paper and wants you to talk to the wizard Zander Horfyre at the dark Wizard's tower Southwest of Falador. He wants you to talk to Malignus Mortifier head south and find a mager surronded by 4 elemental spellcasters. He will need you to dig a skull in the Graveyard in Draynor Mayor.


5. Now when you give him the skull he will tell you that you need to enchant a Secateurs inorder to kill the monster. you will need 3 random items and then head to Mort Swamp to the nature tree. Wear your Amulet of ghostspeak and talk to the spirit and he will enchant it.

6. Prepare for battle, head to the cosmic altar and squeeze between a crack and enter an area full of flowers. Wield your enchanted Secateur and fight him. You can use protection from melee if you wish, it is rather weak.

7. after it dies, grab the golden Secateur which contains the fairy queen's magic essence and talk to the Godfather again. You have completed the quest.
