Post subject:  Rag and Bone Man

Items Needed:

FOR PART 1:
- 8 pots
- 8 vinegar (Talk to Fortunato in Draynor Village after starting the quest)
NOTE: YOU FILL THE POTS WITH THE VINEGAR BY USING THEM ON EACH OTHER.
- 8 logs OR hatchet
- Tinderbox
- 100 coins, around there (For the vinegar).

FOR PART 2:
- 27 pots of vinegar
- 27 logs OR hatchet (there are trees nearby to save space)
- Tinderbox
- Food and armor would be good against some monsters.

Teleports Used:

FOR PART 1:
- 1 Varrock Teleport
- It's good to have a charged glory amulet, unless you fancy a walk.

FOR PART 2:
- I'll let you improvize this on your own.

Difficulty and Length:

- Medium length, but easy enough to understand.

Requirements:

- None, but you have to do some fighting, so be ready.

Start Location:

- The quarry north-east of Varrock, found on the way to the temple of Salve.

To start off by talking to this Odd Old man just on the way to the temple of Salve.

His sack basically tells him what to say, but that's not important, and not in the least bit suspicious. He'll tell you he needs a bunch of bones from a lot of different animals.

Most of them you can find and figure out yourself. If not, talk to the man some more and he'll tell you where to find them if you're clueless.

The ram, however, is different. It's a killable sheep (horray!!!). Find some sheep and look for the ones with horns. Also, if you're venturing in Lumbridge, would you please explain this for me?

Anyways, go around.

I killed a giant rat, a unicorn, and a bear near the eastern edge of Varrock.

I killed a ram and a goblin in Lumbridge and a giant frog in the Lumbridge swamp dungeun. Stop by the Lumbridge store for 8 pots, and stop by Draynor to find the wine merchant (in the marketplace area beside the Wise Old Man's place) for 8 vinegar. Transfer the vinegar to the pots.

I went to and killed a monkey in Karamja and went straight to Keep Le Fay from there for a bat.

Then I teleported back to Varrock, grabbed 8 logs and a tinderbox, and boiled them.

Anyways, once you have all that, go to his pot boiler and follow these steps:

1: Use logs on pot boiler.
2: Use vinegar pot of bones on pot boiler.
3: Use tinderbox on it.
4: Wait about 15 or so seconds.
5: Retrieve your pot.
6: Give the bone to the old man.
7: Slam your head on the wall over and over again due to frustration.
8: Skip step 7.
9: Repeat steps 1 - 8 until all bones are clean.

Once that's done, talk to the old guy, and ... you're done!

Image

My word, that was easy. And if you want, check out his wishlist for a bit of a shock.

27, man. 27 bones.

Image

No Manya, 27. Your teeth don't count.

However, you can collect them all like you did with the previous 8 bones. Kepp killing those certain types of monsters until they drop bones (they will eventually, usually before a 10th kill). Repeat the process of cleaning them in vinegar, and give them to the old man. You'll be rewarded with a bone item of choice and some extra prayer exp.
