Talk to Mistag. He will explain how many people have come to the mines, but not one cave goblin has ever gone to the surface, as they are too afraid of the HAM dudes. To avoid this, he asks you to get 2 full suits of HAM.
Get them and look for a cave goblin in the Lumbridge Castle called Zanik. After a brief chat, she'll tell you to go outside of Lumbridge Castle and see the sun.
Then she'll start following you! I'll bet your cat's jealous! Mind you, if you teleport with her following you, she will return to the Lumbridge cellar so you can easily go and get her again if you wish to continue the quest.
Just take her for a stroll around Lumbridge. Sometimes she'll comment on the sights. You can also talk to some people for some funny conversations. For example, you can talk to Father Aereak for a chat about the Runescape Gods between the 3 of you. you can talk to the Lumbridge Guide, Fred the Farmer, the border guards, the shopkeepers (funny), and even have a chat with a regular goblin after crossing the bridge in front of the castle. Also speak to Bob (evil ...), Hans (Nice guy.), and the men and women of Lumbridge.
Anyways, after that, you can talk to the Duke of Lumbridge. When that's done, you can talk to Zanik and she'll explain how she got that mark on her forehead. She did the tears of Guthix, and for some reason, they gave her that mark, which Juna said meant a sign.
Back to present matters, though. It's time to see what HAM is up to. Those no-good bags of meat always are thinking of bologni, so it's time to bring the cut to them by 'steak'ing out their base and bringing home the bacon. Head to the HAM camp and speak to some of the HAM members.
Sigmund and Johanhus won't say anything if you talk to them, so take a look around for something that might suggest another area of the cave. If you walk behind the speech platform, Zanik will take you through a quick cinematic where she finds a hidden trapdoor in this nook.
Sorry, it's a little hard to see. It's that patch with the rough surface in the wall.
After entering, you've got a stealth mission to face. You have to get around that guard without letting the others see you. Zanik will wait for you in that safe area.
Anyways, run around that guard, he'll yell at you, and Zanik will shoot him. You must do that with all the rest.
Mind you, if you fail, you have to do it again. But that's ok; since you know how to do it, it won't take long.
It's easy enough from here on. Crawl through that crack, wait for the patrolling guard to head away, and run out and talk to the guard nearest to you standing in the left corridor.
Once that's done, it's time for some timing. She'll tell you to say when the guard patrolling is facing away. When the guard turns and walks away from you, click NOW.
Now, you have to lure a guard past Zanik. How? Go to the east corridor and position him here:
Now let the guard spot you here.
Last guard. Zanik will suggest you approach from different directions, so position him here while you approach from here:
Go into view. BAM!
That's all of them. Listen at the big door now.
Zanik hears the plan, but before you can do anything, a guard catches you!
You're in the jail, but where's Zanik? Johanhus says he's been "already dealt with", but does that mean? ... oh no!
Head to the surface.
NOO! ZANIK'S DEAD! ... but wait! If you inspect her, her mark is glowing brightly. Take her to see Juna ... well, her body, anyways.
Juna will tell you that the Gods can bring her back to life! Yay! However, you'll need to collect 20 Tears of Guthix with her bowl.
You'll have infinate time this time. Just do it like you usually would.
Once that's done, Zanik will come back to life and tell you what she heard:
No time to waste. Head to the water mill, which is right next to the larger Lumbridge farm.
If you search the empty crates, Zanik will hit upon a plan. You carry a crate down there with her in it so you both can face off against Sigmund once and for all!
The fight! But Sigmund has prayer! You can't damage him!
Not to worry. Take out the other guards alongside Zanik (don't let her die!), then Sigmund will stupidly change his prayer to fend off Zanik, leaving you to finish him.
But wait! Instead of dying, he vanished!
Oh well, you saved the city. May as well take the south tunnel back to the caves.
After a quick chat, Zanik will teach you the specials of the bone weapons, like the bone crossbow. Once that's done:
Well done! Near the gate to the town, there's a new bone weapons seller who sells:
You can also return to that store room and pickpocket guards for keys that open certain chests. They won't throw you out on sight anymore. I got a bunch of gemstone jewelery from them.
Enjoy those new bone weapons and their defence-shattering specials!
