I. What is a hybrid?
A hybrid is a player killing account that uses two or more combat techniques while player killing. The hybrid we will be talking about is going to be a range/mage hybrid.
II. What this account will require
To truly make a dent in this character, you will need a number of things.
Somebody rate it, please?
1k law runes.
3.8k nature runes
3k death runes
10k air runes
Around 2k lobsters
Around 5k iron arrows
Around 2k adamant arrows
10 sets of green dragonhide chaps or vambraces.
5 amulets of power
Finally, about 1 million gold pieces
Now, this may
seem like a lot, but trust me. It’s worth it.
III.
Your first levels
Ahh. Tutorial Island. A wonderful place full of newbies, new pkers, and information. This will also be the place where you get your first magic and ranging levels.
Go through the tutorial per usual, but when you get to the ranged part of the combat section STOP. Drop your arrows. Repeat until there are roughly 500 arrows dropped. Pick them up. Range the giant rats until 3 ranged.
Go through to the mage tutor. STOP. Keep talking to him until he has given you 25 air and mind runes. Drop these. Get another 25, and pick them up. You now have 50 mind and 50 air runes. Cast wind strikes on the chickens until 3 mage. Talk to the tutor, and get off of that newb-infested island
IV. Training magic
After you have gotten all of those items onto your hybrid, you have some lovely training to do
Take out that nice wad of cash that you have, and buy 550 body runes, 1.1k earth runes, and a water staff. Equip the water staff, and go down into the Varrock sewers. See all the little rats? Cast confuse on them until you reach level 11 mage. Now you have to cast a mix of confuse AND weaken spells. Do this until you get to 25 magic.
Take out 200 laws, an air staff, and 200 fires. Teleport to Varrock 200 times for 31 magic.
Take out 309 laws, your air staff, and 309 earth runes. Teleport to Lumbrige 309 times for 37 magic.
Take out 487 laws, your air staff, and 487 water runes. Teleport to Falador 487 times for 43 magic. Congratulations! You can now cast Superheat Item.
Buy 3,728 iron ore. Superheat ALL of the ore using a fire staff, and of course 3,728 nature runes.
YOU NOW HAVE 59 MAGIC! CONGRATULATIONS ON GETTING THIS FAR!
V. Training ranged and hitpoints.
Wow! Take a look at your stats. You should see 59 magic, 10 hitpoints, and 3 ranged. The ranged and hitpoints are looking pretty skimpy, eh? NO MATTER.
Take out all 5k of your arrows, every f2p shortbow, and leather, studded, and green d’hide chaps, and vambs. Go to the crafting guild southwest of Falador. Go into the cow pen, and range them until 20 ranged.
Put on your studded chaps, and willow bow. Range 3,836 hobgoblins over the water for 65 ranged, switching bows, and armor as your progress. It’s a slow process, but it’s the best ranged XP in f2p.
YOU NOW HAVE 65 RANGED! CONGRATULATIONS ON GETTING THIS FAR!
VI. Player killing
Wow. I am proud to say that you are a force to be reckoned with in the wilderness. Don’t get too cocky yet, mind you xd
PLAYER KILLING RULES:
NEVER teleport unless getting teamed or PJ’ed.
NEVER run from a dm.
ALWAYS say good luck and good fight
TRY NOT to safe.
DO NOT use protection prayers (If possible) in a 1 on 1 fight.
The items you have equipped should be:
Wizard hat
Wizard robe
Amulet of power
Green d’hide chaps
Green d’hide vambs
Leather boots
100 adamant arrows
The items in your inventory should be:
5 binds
1 teleport to Varrock (If pk’ing with a team)
50 fire blasts
LOBSTERS
This is not really the proper guide for player killing techniques. All I will say here is that you should range to low health, then blast them. If they try to run, bind them.
