IntroductionHi. Welcome to my guide to killing cave crawlers for herbs. Some people may argue that Chaos Druids are better for herbs but, although they may be correct in some senses, I prefer Cave Cralwers for their higher hp [more xp] (but still only 23hp) an also the fact that they dorp alot more second potion ingredients than Chaos Druids. Also, they are usually much less crowded [usually I am the only one killing them]. This point brings me to the location.Where can I find Cave Crawlers? There are only two places in runescape that you can kill Cave Crawlers and that is the slayer dungeon and the lumbridge caves.
But in this guide I will be focusing on killing them in the slayer cave.
To get here the best way would to use fairy rings, which require you to do the start of Fairytale pt 2.(sorry about the ring code- its actually
AJR)
Another method of getting here is using a house teleport (your house must be located at Relleka. The house portal is just west).
The only other way would be to walk from Seers Village bank.
When you have reached the dungeon entrance go down and you will find yourself in a cave.
You can also use an enchanted lyre which requires the completion of Fremennik Trials. When you play it you will be teleported to Relleka where you can walk to the dungeon entrance. You can have up to 4 teleports on the lyre at one time. To get 2 teleports give the Fossegrimen a raw shark, for 3 teleports give it a raw manta ray and for 4 teleports give it a raw sea turtle.
Both sea turtle and manta ray can be obtained through Trawler Fishing minigame.Killing them! So here we are. All the Cave Crawlers are located just west of the entrance, in the first room of the whole slayer cave. There are around 10-15 of them.Recommended Inventory and EquipmentI only ever use melee to kill them. I would suggest atleast 60-70 combat for most efficient killing.DDS--Super Strength--Super Attack--Super antipoison

Draman Staff (must equip to use fairy rings) and Ectophial If you don't want to fork out on any pots then just using a dragon battleaxe spec would do fine-- I find that after using a dbaxe special I can 1 hit alot of Cave Crawlers.
So, after drinking a dose of each potion (or just a dose of super antiposion) start killing them!
You will most likely find that killing them will be pretty easy, but make sure that as soon as you see "You have been poisoned!" in your chatbox drink a dose of super antipoison before it hits. The poison starts off hitting 8 and goes down untill it stops. I reccomend using super anti poisons because they are cheap (less than 1k each) and becuse you will be using far too many doses of normal anti.I have compiled a list of drops from 100 of them:
