Guest pass is like 3 days.. You could easily blow through the singleplayer campaign within that time, and even try out the multiplayer. It's really a good game, though I don't know if I'd pay the $10 for it.

At any rate, I've gotta ditch the pass by May 19th, else it will expire. Once it's given to someone, they've got some time before they have to activate it.

I wouldn't be opposed to it I suppose. If we do a schedule, then each game will be played an equal amount of time and everyone should be happy...should be. As long as CS:S gets in the mix, I'm happy. Otherwise, I will always vote for CS:S given the opportunity.

Indeed, it is a great game. I'd get it bundled with something though.. It's usually $20, but for $25 you can get it + Garry's Mod, or $30 for CSS, Day of Defeat:Source, or $30 for Counter-Strike Complete with all of the classic games bundled with it.

If it's your first time, you might consider checking out the map packs we've got for download on the first post in the thread. Could save you some time if you're on a slower connection, but either way, the maps do get auto-downloaded when you join the server.

The game is listed at the bottom of the thread by week, though it's not the deciding factor for a winner. It's not solely based on kill:death ratio, there are other factors that come into play.

Getting my gaming computer June 1st so I can actually start showing up to these things

I'll probably be slowly purchasing these games...don't want to overwhelm myself with new gaming content. Plus I'll be spending quite a bit of time getting used to Windows 7 and Ubuntu (both 64-bit), two OS's I've never used before (I'm handy on Snow Leopard, but it's time to break ties with Apple).

Regardless, can't wait to start PC gaming (with you guys)!

Any recommendations on games I should purchase? Using Steam, I'll be buying the Orange Box, and then Half Life 2:DM I guess. But if there are any games I should buy on top of that, let me know (Note that I can play M rated games with violence, blood and gore, etc., but I can't play any games with Language [mild is fine] or Sexual Content).
