Edit:
Any recommendations on games I should purchase? Using Steam, I'll be buying the Orange Box, and then Half Life 2:DM I guess. But if there are any games I should buy on top of that, let me know (Note that I can play M rated games with violence, blood and gore, etc., but I can't play any games with Language [mild is fine] or Sexual Content).

Orange Box, HL2:DM is free (read the first post :D ), and eventually check out Counter-Strike: Source. Then you'll be able to attend any of the current games that we play.

Past that, pretty much anything made by Valve (Left 4 Dead 1&2, Day Of Defeat: Source, etc) as well as Garry's Mod if you're into sandbox type games. I'd also consider the classic Half Life game due to it being epic in general.

I went ahead and game my indie bundle code to Sev since I already have one.
Also, moar CS:S events!

Oh ya. Except, I remember when I played it, it was taking a long, long time to play through. I think I only got half way through the game before I gave up eventually. Now, I might be able to beat it in a day if I focused long enough. One of the top rated games of the decade I believe. Everywhere I look, it's always in a top 10 list.

I know! CS:S ftw. Although, I will say I feel like I rain on the party when I win almost every match. xD Still can't believe I lost yesterday. Anyways, wish more peeps would show up as always. The indie bundle give out really motivated people to come. We should try to do more stuff like that. Promoting the PC Gaming events couldn't hurt, although it seems like HL2:DM gets a pretty good showing most the time. I'll be looking to get the Orange Box next chance I get. It's a pretty good package considering what you can get. WIN!!!

Had to leave the event early because I had some things that had to be done and because I had terrible lag at times that came in out frequently.

Hope to be able to play better at the next HL event.

BTW, I heard someone say they got TF2 for free, is this possible? I'd love to play more games with y'all but currently can't afford to buy another game.

It was free last weekend because it was launched for the Mac, it was also 50% off, making it only $10. It's back to normal now. But on the topic, voting for TF2 as I finally own the game and considering I can play it on my MacBook, win win. :)

As soon as I get TF2 or the Orange Box, then I'll start voting for it. :D Definitely seems like a fun game from what I've seen. Unfortunately, HL2 is popular here, esp. since it's free.

Pity, the poll had closed by the time I got to the topic. Oh well, we should give TF2 a sporting chance in next week's poll. I'll be there tomorrow though! :D

TF2 will probably win next week since HL is out.

I should be able to make tonight's event. I hope I'm not lagging like crazy like I was last week. Never figured out why it did that last week.

If at all possible (if it's causing you problems that is) try making sure that the network isn't in use while you're gaming.. if Quality of Service (QoS) is something that actually works on your router, you could set that up so that anything gaming related gets highest priority on the network.

If you haven't reset your router in ages, it might not hurt, though I doubt that it'd solve things very often.
