Feel the need to point out you can currently preorder it for £40 or so. With that said the price may go up when the game starts shipping. I'll say this now though: Will not ever pay £50+ for a standard edition of a game. GO blow yourself activision.

If it turns out to be a reality I'll wait a month and pick it up second hand I'll still get ripped off cause the prices of second hand games is idiotic but at least activision wont be seeing any of that money.

Oh and for yee Americans just to give you an idea that's over $90

update:

K this might be old news. Apparently the game is not only getting a price increase. In all there glorious wisdom there also having map packs, ready to be payed for and downloaded on day one. The game does not even **** come out for months yet there is *no* reason why it can't be on the disc. This is taking the ****. I guess if you can't slap a gimmicky plastic ******* controller on with the game you should just increase the price all over the place instead.

Seriously people thought EA was bad, they never pulled this **** at most they released a game a year.

Bleugh, I don't get why this is going to happen. The only thing I preorder is Limited/Special editions of games. I'll be waiting for this one and if push comes to shove, be doing the same thing as Creepy.

Naw. It's not worth it with all the shipping costs and wait.

well i just did a quick check on my the places that sell games. gamestop bestbuy etc
so far the prices are at 60 and one is even at 50 for regular (no idea why but i can't pre-order that now)

so everything is normal.

but none are selling the prestige edition. (wouldn't blame them. that thing won't sell well

This is the UK. We don't have bestbuy or gamestop. I've already checked the UK retailers online and there selling it for roughly the same price. Which is why i said it's not confirmed in my first post. Lots of these websites get tip offs so you know.

Just means 3 things tbh;
It's not true.
the retailers are simply ignoring the RRP.
It'll get cranked up closer to release.

I can't think of a worse time to crank up game prices either, in these bad economical times. I just hope it stays at £40 because I'll be struggling to afford that, nevermind £55.

On a side note, Creepy what are you doing up at 5am

interestingly enough while going through forums and sucks. it seems the PC version is going to stay relatively cheaper.
no idea if it will stay but if it does. thank god i upgraded :D :D :D

standard
PC 49.99
xbox 59.99
sony 59.99

harden copy were all 80 bones

frys electronics

most likely where i would get it, but odds are they may jack up the price as it gets closer.

Because the PC blows as a game console. Simple as that.

Any PC/console game is cheaper on PC Everytime. Cause it's an open platform the dev doesn't have to pay Microsoft/Sony/Nintendo to have it's game on the PC like it does on a console.

Which is also why these oh bu bu teh dev costs excuses are a load of BS. PC games have been floating around the £30 mark forever and they lead the way when it comes to video games.

that. and also if anybody makes a game for 90 bucks we many people would pirate the living daylights out of it and create cracked servers to play on multi.

imagine.... go to game store 100,000,000 people sees price.
no way
99,000,000 people pirate, the rest buy.

update
http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B002 ... 98433&pf_rd_i=468294

seems the price dropped down to regular i guess
