Yep, a Source based remake of the classic Goldeneye 007 for the Nintendo 64 is now out of beta! It's one of the choices for PC Gaming, so we'll be sure to check it out once we start up again :)

Yay for a good connection. Should only take 15 minutes or so. Anyways, glad it's out of beta. Wonder how much they've touched it up? We should play this as the first event come January for the PC gaming people.

Btw, did they put in a campaign mode by any chance or still just multiplayer?

Just the multiplayer. But you can bet it's a better experiance than using a wii remote.

I was a huge fan of this game on the N64. N64 is still the greatest game system of all time!!!

Have to respectfully disagree with you there, the SNES and PS2 were very very good game consoles in their respective generations. However, GE64 was one of the best games of all time.

Have downloaded the update, will have to try it out sometime to see if it's any different from a few months ago. :)

If there ever was a "system seller" Goldeneye for the N64 was it. I remember seeing a demo of that game and was instantly sold on buying an N64. Unfortunately, that was one of the few really good games for the N64. The only other one that stands out in my head is the Mario game.
I remember I was never interested in the James Bond Movies until I played Goldeneye, after I played it, I rushed out to rent the Goldeneye movie, lol.

Well, I mean the system itself wasn't exceptional, but the games were fantastic (for their time and even now). Mario, Goldeneye, Super Smash Brothers, Star Fox, NFL Blitz, Madden, Diddy Kong Racing, Mario Kart...the list is endless. It was the games that really made that system. What's why I like it so much.
