Quote:
Earlier this month, a document revealing Blizzard's product slate was leaked, revealing quite a number of things the company would rather keep under wraps. Since it's release, Blizzard China general manager Ye WeiLun was reportedly fired over the leak while Blizzard HQ "reshuffled" the Chinese staff.

According to the product slate, Diablo 3 is expected to arrive in Q4 2011 (yes!) and will be followed by its first expansion in Q2 2013 and a second expansion in Q4 2014. On the StarCraft 2 front, the first expansion will be released alongside StarCraft 2 Phoenix in Q4 2011. The second expansion pack for StarCraft 2 is expected to launch in Q1 2013.

As for World of Warcraft, the product slate lists expansion four with a Q2 2012 release date followed by a fifth expansion in Q4 2013. The World of Warcraft movie is slated to hit theaters in Q4 2012, and there's also a listing for World of Warcraft TCG with a Q3 2012 date.

But now we come to the meat of the story: Blizzard's mystery MMOG. Called Titan, the product slate has its release listed for Q4 2013. In an interview with Destructoid, Blizzard's Frank Pearce owned up to the listing by admitting that Titan was indeed the much-speculated "next-generation" MMOG.

"The media is not supposed to know anything about that," Pearce said with a sudden "busted" look on his face. "We've only started talking about it in a limited fashion because we want to leverage the fact that we're working on something like that for the purpose of recruiting, getting some of the best talent in the industry on that project."

And there you go. We're betting Blizzard wants us to inform readers that schedules are subject to change, so all listed titles may or may not meet their scheduled dates, depending on how development progresses.

Nevertheless, could Titan be something along the lines of World of StarCraft? Sorry, but that would simply be pure awesomeness, and you know it.

I particularly pay attention to this kind of stuff as Blizzard only does work on PC Gaming (my only platform). A World of Warcraft movie sounds pretty awesome, as well.

i don't see blizzard following that timeline at all. remember they did say they would release starcraft 2 in 2008, and yet it took them til 2010 to release it.
and honestly, 2 blizzard games released Q4 of 2011 will hurt profit. blizzard fanboys may have to choose between diablo3 or the expansion and it may hurt sales.

I don't think it would be that huge a concern if it did happen. People have preference towards certain games within a publisher. I doubt they will stick to the schedule, but it's nice to get some vague and general idea on what their plans are. Still, quite a tight schedule, and Blizzard doesn't try to rush anything if they know the players will wait for quality.
