Quest: Gertrude's Cat
Difficulty: Easy
Required Quests/Skills: Level 5 fishing (optional)
Items needed: bucket of milk, 1 raw sardine, 100 gp
Reward: 1 Quest Point, a kitten(which interacts with you), cooking Experience, 1 Chocolate Cake, 1 Stew
Start point: Gertrude's House, just across Juliet's house west of Varrock.
-Obtain a bucket from the closest general store near you, and go to the cows which are located a bit north east of Lumbridge. Use the bucket with the cow to get milk.
-To obtain a sardine, the fastest way is by fishing it, since nobody really sells them. You need level 5 fishing in order to catch one. Use a fishing rod and bait to fish for it in either Catherby shore, Karamja dock, or Draynor Village.
- Head to Gurtrude's house, which is located near the west entrance to Varrock (west of the bank). Talk to Gertrude, and offer her help to find her lost cat. After you finish talking to her, go behind the house, and obtain 1 doogle leaf.
- Walk east to central Varrock (near the marker area), and talk to either Shilop or Wilough. They will tell you that they play at the lumber mill, and that was where they lost their cat.
-Follow the road which is east of the central market place in Varrock, and follow the path north and you reach the first road leading east. Follow the road east and passed the Jolly bear inn until you reach the Lumber mill. Look for the broken fence, which is located on the south side of the fence, and climb over it, to get in the lumber mill.
- Walk towards the ladder which is located near the center of the lumber mill, and walk up to the top floor.
- When you try to pick up the cat, it will scratch you, so use the milk in the inventory with the cat.
- Use the Doogle Leaves with the sardine to make a Seasoned Sardine. Use the Seasoned Sardine with the cat.
- Try picking up the cat again, and you will get scratched once more (which takes away a few hits).
- Try to pick up the cat one more time, and you will get a message saying that you can hear kittens meowing.
- Walk down the ladder. Start searching the crates and barrels until you find the kittens.
- Go back up the ladder. Use the kitten with Gertrude's Cat and the cat will return back to Gertrude.
- Return back to Gertrude's house, where you will find the cat has returned.
